"Used in" and template protection from deletion
For each email template you can see where it is actually used: in which automation, message-compose button, or card. The link to an automation takes you directly to it.
A template held by an active automation cannot be deleted or disabled. Instead of a cryptic error you will see which automations depend on it. A disabled automation does not block the template.
